INSTRUCTIONS:

Do the women below reflect the cultural context and times in which they lived,

did they themselves make significant changes in their worlds, or a combination of both?

Find out a little about the woman assigned to you, then tell us how her life answers the above

question.  Please include the following in your 5-8 minute presentation:

     1.  In your own words, answering the above question, tell us how she was significant.

     2.  Short, narrative biography--

          establish time and place, and the most important aspects of her life.

     3.  Bring a part of this woman to class in pictures, words, art, or music.

     4.  Type one short page of notes or outline of the above, which you will tell us about in

          class, to be turned in AFTER your presentation and then emailed to me (before or after), then email it to me.
